KTTK: "So What Happened Was.."
We all have that one friend we call when the story gets out about homegirl and her man. We don't leave out a single detail and we even throw in our two cents. So why can't we keep that same energy for our business? Here's Part 3 of Keys to the Kingdom!
IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SEE PART ONE AND TWO FIRST!
7. Telling a Story: Believe it or not, everything tied to you and your brand is a story. The reason you started, the products you sell, why you want people to support you, and even the name you chose. People are always posting their products to sell and to a consumer it may look like you just want their money. A good story SELLS! Think about it from a publicity standpoint. Magazines sell because of the stories they tell. It engages you because you see it in the stores in big bold letters and bright colors. It's as easy as posting a product and telling a funny story that relates to it or posting a product and posting a review of a happy customer. Bring the human aspect to your business. It's going to help build an emotional attachment with your target audience.
8. Focus on Your Following: Every platform isn't going to perform the same for you. Every platform isn't the same. If you're constantly wondering why your followers aren't going up, change your focus. That's like a hair stylist posting her work on Twitter. That's not an ideal place to book a hair appointment or see someone's work. Really look into the platforms you want to promote on and make sure they align with the service or product you're selling.
9. Failing to Plan, Planning to Fail: It's a lot to keep up with being consistent with your brand. Your business is only going to be as good as your exposure. Don't just post content to be on social media. Don't post content just to make a dollar. Post content that speaks volumes to your brand, that your audience can relate to, and that people can remember well after it's posted. Scheduling out your content will work wonders for you. If you're dedicated to making the content one day a week, you'll create sales for the month. Consistency is key!
I HOPE YOU ENJOYED PART THREE! WE'RE ALMOST DONE SO I HOPE YOU'VE BEEN TAKING NOTES!-LEX
