Boundaries & Breaks

When you're the boss, supervisor, manager, staff, & customer service, it's hard to catch a break! For your mental health, you're going to have to set boundaries to give yourself a break!

  • For starters, don't feel bad for needing a moment or two to yourself. Yes, you're a business owner, but you may also have family, kids, and a life outside of the hustle. If people don't understand your needs, then that's their loss and a red flag to you!

  • Try to at least take an hour to yourself a week or each day. Only you know what self care methods work best for you. Whatever you do in that hour should relieve you of any anxiety, stress, and mood changes. About 35% of entrepreneurs suffer from mental health conditions so it's important to serve yourself so you can serve others.

  • Boundaries hurt some people's feelings. It can give the impression you don't care, you're selfish, or no longer have an interest. That's okay. Don't let the guilt trip fool you. You're allowed to say no and stand on it. On top of having a business, you have to deal with customers, handle orders or clients, and somehow take care of home as well. No matter where you are in your business journey, boundaries are healthy for you.
