Satan's Trying You, Sis
You may think all of these bad things are coming out of nowhere. You probably ask yourself why 3 times a day? Or instead do you question God?
Satan tempted Jesus 3 times in 3 different ways.
Satan told Jesus to turn stones into bread.
Satan took Jesus to the highest point of the temple in Jerusalem and dared him to throw himself off.
Satan offered to give Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if he would just bow down & worship him.
Now believe it or not, Satan was quoting scripture, but Jesus was throwing it right back at him. Every attempt failed.
2 Corinthians 10:5 says "We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ,"
Satan is going to come at you many ways many times. If he's bold enough to try Jesus, what makes you think you won't be tested. In the midst of these times, you have to remember that this is a test. He's going to say things that aren't true, He's going to try and tear you down, & He's going to keep trying until you crack. Take those thoughts, declare them untrue, and continue your work in God's name. Satan is going to come for your thoughts, dreams, goals, ambition, and purpose. You may be tempted with his offer, but are you really willing to pay the price?
Psalm 119:9-11 says
"How can a young man keep his way pure?
By keeping watch [on himself] according to Your word [conforming his life to Your precepts].
With all my heart I have sought You, [inquiring of You and longing for You];
Do not let me wander from Your commandments [neither through ignorance nor by willful disobedience].
Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart,
That I may not sin against You."
It's not a easy battle going back & forth with Satan because he knows exactly what to say and do. When you feel like his attempts are getting the best of you, pray for wisdom, encouragement, strength, resistance, & knowledge.
