The Shape of Your Life

How do you think of your life? Do you immediately remember your failures, shortcomings, & doubt your potential? Do you daydream about what your future looks like? What are your thoughts?

Phillipians 4:8-9 AMP says "Finally, [a]believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. 9 The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you."

This scripture doesn't dwell on your falls, trials & tribulations, or the points in your life where you felt like there was no point in working towards what you really want. You have to focus more on things that are going to breathe life into you. Whether you realize it or not, you've probably had an experience where you saw a shift in your life and it made you see things in a different light. Stop giving energy into things that aren't going to benefit your life or future. Start practicing positive thinking, positive affirmations, & ask God for the guidance and strength to leave your bad thoughts behind.

Proverbs 23:7 says "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behavior—one who manipulates].

He says to you, “Eat and drink,”

Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost]."

You are what you eat. You are what you think. Your thoughts hold more weight than you probably imagine. Even if you don't speak about your thoughts, they are still held in your heart. In 2021, don't invest space or time into thoughts that only hold you back. You are bigger & better than those thoughts. Only you can start to shift your thinking and your life.
